AWS Cloud Certifications
AWS provides a certification roadmap for those in the area of architecting, developing and operating the applications. Following diagram represents the same:
Pay attention to some of the following:
- Architects would want to take AWS Certified Solution Architect certification. This is split into two different certifications such as following:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate: The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam is intended for individuals with experience designing distributed applications and systems on the AWS platform.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional: The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional exam validates advanced technical skills and experience in designing distributed applications and systems on the AWS platform. Candidates who have achieved AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification are eligible to take this exam.
- Those developing applications for AWS cloud would want to take AWS Certified Developer certification and then go on to take AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
- Those working on OPS for AWS cloud would want to take AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification and then go on to take AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.

IBM Cloud Platform Certifications
Following is the list of four certifications which one would want to consider in relation with IBM cloud platforms:
- IBM certified solution advisor – Cloud reference architecture V5: This one is for professionals who want to have an all-round understanding of concepts and benefits of cloud computing.
- IBM certified solution architect – Cloud platform solution V2: This one is for Infrastructure architects who want to design, plan and architect a cloud infrastructure on IBM cloud.
- IBM certified solution advisor – DevOps V1: This one is for DevOps professionals who can clearly explain the benefits and underlying concepts of DevOps and has practical experience of implementing DevOps processes and solutions for clients.
